Our client is famous for their comprehensive selection of machine tools and outstanding service provided to their clients for nearly 1 hundred years across the UK. Due to continued growth they now require an Electrical CNC Service Engineer to join their established team covering the Greater Midlands.

The main duties for this role will include the installation, servicing and maintenance of a wide variety of Machine Tools including lathes, milling machines and machining centres. Experience of working within this field is essential along with an electrical bias.

The successful Service Engineer will have experience of:

·       CNC controls either Fanuc, Siemens or Heidenhain with ability to fault find and modify

·       Ability to fault find and replace drives and motors

·       Knowledge of Pneumatics and Hydraulics

·       Experience of installing and commissioning machinery

·       Good customer service skills and ability to train customers on CNC machinery – Lathes/Turning Centres, Milling machines and Machining Centres (VMC/HMC)

The ideal candidate will preferably hold a C&G or ONC qualification in a relevant engineering discipline; it would be advantageous to have served a machine tool apprenticeship but not essential. This role will be working days and covering a large area so at times you will need to be flexible with working hours and able to occasionally stay away from home.

In return the Service Engineer will receive a salary of £30-35k with OTE between £40k-£45k, company car, pension contribution, healthcare plan, optical and dental.

This role is home based and will cover the Midlands with the ideal candidate living within or around Leicester, Birmingham, Peterborough, Coventry, Stoke-on-Trent, Nottingham, Oxford, Lincoln.
