Mechanical Design Engineer urgently required for leading high end machinery manufacturer. Experience with 3D design of complex machinery is essential not simply product design.

The ideal Mechanical Design Engineer will have experience with Autodesk Inventor and come from a CNC Machine Tool background completing mechanical designs of new machinery and machinery modifications.

They are specialists in the manufacture, sales & service of a diverse range of CNC machine tools, always striving to set higher standards with their products and providing excellent levels of service.

Due to an increasing order book, a Mechanical Design Engineer is immediately required. With a minimum of HNC in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) the successful Mechanical Design Engineer will be experienced in the use of 3D Autodesk Inventor creating drawings of sheet metal, fabricated metal components and castings.

Standard Responsibilities:

·         Preparation of drawings and BOM’s for manufacture

·         Regenerate old drawing formats on the CAD system

·         Improve and update existing designs to achieve the use of common components

·         Improve quality and reduce assembly times

·         Design new products including grinding machines, sub-assemblies, fixtures, loading mechanisms and tooling

The site is based in the West Midlands and is easily commutable from Leicester, Coventry, Nuneaton, Northampton, Birmingham, Loughborough and surrounding areas.

The successful Mechanical Design Engineer can expect a basic salary up to £45k DOE + Healthcare and Private Pension
