Control Systems Engineer

£35,000 - £40,000 + Healthcare & Pension.

West Midlands. Office based role with global travel.

Systems Engineer – The Role:

• Involvement in the design & ongoing development of special purpose machine tools
• Full project lifecycle
• Role is predominantly office based with the potential for very occasional global travel
• Commissioning a range of CNC machine tools & test of electrical control circuits
• Measuring system calibrations & preparation of the machine for production trials
• Design of control circuits (Hardware & PLC)
• Ensure compliance with CE / UKCA requirements
• Provide customer support

Control Engineer – The Person:

• Solid experience using Siemens PLC & Drives Programming – conversant with Siemens S7 PLC Software utilising Statement List / Ladder Logic structures
• Basic understanding of CNC Machine Tools is essential, however full training will be provided
• Knowledge of Sinamics Drives & an understanding of CNC controls (preferable Siemens 840D) would be highly advantageous
• Ability to read electrical, pneumatic & hydraulic circuit diagrams
• Experienced with AC & DC control circuits

The PLC Software Engineers will be based in the West Midlands commutable from within and around the following areas: Birmingham, Leicester, Dudley, Coventry, Warwick and Stratford.
