Control Engineer – The Role:

Diverse role working on special purpose machinery to specific criteria in a fast-paced industry

Servo machinery design

Recommend new technologies to improve efficiency

Producing engineering design & testing documentation

Travelling to client sites both UK & abroad when required – 1 week every 2/3 months

Systems Engineer – The Person:

Proven experience of machinery automation/servo control

Have approximately 5 years’ automation experience writing control software, performing design & commissioning activities for PLC’s & servo control systems

Be able to demonstrate ability to work with HMI software, safety systems, inverters, pneumatics, communication networks & produce read supporting technical & electrical documentation using EPlan or similar

Preferably educated to degree level in relevant engineering discipline

Ideally have experience of process improvement, lean & six sigma as well as background of programming PLC’s (Siemens, Rockwell, B&R, Bosch or Lenze) & HMI systems

Experience of working with variable speed & servo drives is essential

Be methodical & accurate, with excellent communication & problem solving skills

Located in East Yorkshire, this role is commutable from within & around the following locations: York, Hull & Scarborough.

Role would also suit an Automation Engineer, Control Engineer, Systems Engineer or a PLC Software Engineer.
