Engineering services provider working across a diverse range of industries including Automotive, Rail, Logistics, Pharmaceutical and Food now has an immediate requirement for skilled Control Systems Engineers.

Joining a solid controls team you will be working on bespoke industrial machinery projects for large scale factory automated systems. You can expect duties to include:

·       Full PLC design & integration

·       Drive set-up

·       Completion of all documentation

·       On-site commissioning and customer support

·       Design and integration of machinery safety

·       Taking projects through complete lifecycle

·       Extracting & interpreting customer requirements

·       Assisting the sales and pricing processes

·       Contributing to system-level design specifications

·       Contributing to external & internal design reviews

·       Control systems design and development including PLC & HMI programming

·       Leading system integration, test and validation

·       Preparing documentation for system operation & maintenance

We are seeking experienced Control Systems Engineers with a proven background of ideally Siemens or Allen Bradley control systems. Any additional experience of Mitsubishi would be beneficial but not essential. You will have proven ability to design systems from concept working within a team and autonomously to provide high level systems under tight time constraints.

Other useful experience would include knowledge of current machinery safety standards, experience of vision systems and experience of automated robot handling.

You can expect to spend c75% in the office and c25% working on customer sites to generate specifications, carry out installation/commissioning and provision of after-sales support.

Salary is negotiable depending on ability but you can expect between £40-45k along with contributory pension, 25 days holiday and all expenses covered.

Located in the West Midlands they are commutable from within and around the following areas: Worcester, Kidderminster, Droitwich Spa, Stourbridge, South Birmingham and Wolverhampton.
