Well established chemical manufacturing plant in Essex has an immediate opportunity available for a skilled Control Systems Engineer to join their expanding team. With 20 plants in operation, this business have an excellent reputation for supplying products globally to a variety of manufacturing industries including detergent, paper, water treatment and chemical.

We are looking for a Control Systems Engineer with strong Rockwell ControlLogix ability and ideally Wonderware InTouch OR Rockwell FactoryTalk SCADA. Preferably will also have Siemens experience, however Rockwell is essential.

The Control Systems Engineer will primarily be responsible for the following:

·         Design of PLC & SCADA control systems from concept

·         Writing of functional design specifications and cause and effect charts

·         Working within a team involved in the commissioning and installation of projects

·         Installation of PLC software and SCADA software

·         Proof testing of SIL loop instruments

We are seeking Engineers with a proven instrumentation & control background ideally with experience of:

·         Allen Bradley & Siemens PLC’s

·         Wonderware InTouch or Allen Bradley FactoryTalk SCADA systems

·         The ability to read P&ID’s

·         Have an understanding of maintaining, servicing, calibrating and fault finding of instrumentation to include flow meters, temperature probes, PH & ORP, pressure transmitters and gas detectors  - ideal, not essential

The Control Systems Engineer will be expected to provide installation & commissioning expertise on new projects travelling to other sites in the UK 2-3 times a year to provide additional support. On these occasions, all travel will be covered including provision of a hire car.

This role is based in Essex and commutable from within and around the following areas: Grays, Dartford, Belvedere and Rainham.

This role is paying £32-45k depending on experience level – we are open to applications from more junior level candidates looking for progression.
