Application Sales/Proposals Engineer or Manager – 2 positions

Leading independent company are looking for an Applications Engineer and an Applications Manager with solid control systems or systems integration background to be responsible for the preparation of all detailed technical specifications and quotations.

The Application team handle all technical quotations, estimates and costings. Responsibilities will include:

• Prepare quotations and specifications for automation application tenders
• Liaise with the sales team, to include project updates and latest industry technologies
• Handle sales and project customer requests for information
• Provide technical support and training to the tenders team
• Manage and control engineering resources to support complex technical bids

An excellent communicator, you will have proven capability of creating estimations and quotations for complex control systems projects preferably across a broad range of machinery automation or systems integration projects.

Successful Engineers will be joining a Midlands based systems integrator specialising in the design, development and installation of drives & control solutions for wide-ranging industries including Automotive, Warehouse, Marine, Food and Metals. You will work in partnership with the Business Development team to ensure the delivery of the optimum control system for each project.

Experience Required:

·         Preferably qualified to degree level in electrical/electronic engineering

·         Previous experience in a similar role

·         Detailed knowledge of systems integration incorporating variable speed drives, robotics, PLC’s and SCADA/HMI technologies

There may be some UK travel with this role to meet with clients, however very minimal time away from home.
