Innovative company who provide customised automation & control solutions for clients throughout the UK and worldwide now require an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their expanding team.

We are seeking Engineers with ONC/HNC or equivalent qualification covering BS7671 2008 alongside solid experience of Amtech and/or AutoCAD LT. Duties will include:

• Reading/understanding of electrical schematics
• Produce cable schedules/sizing calculations/electrical test sheets/single line diagrams
• Design cable routes, calculate containment size and update building layout drawings
• Produce material specifications and BOM

It is essential you have site experience working as an industrial electrician, with electrical design experience highly beneficial. Other ideal knowledge would include:

• Writing risk assessments and method statements/CDM regulations
• Electrical testing/fault finding on site
• Design of fire alarm, small power and lighting, LV/HV distribution
• Knowledge/design of MCC panels

We are seeking customer focused individuals who enjoy complete project involvement including the opportunity to travel throughout the UK and worldwide – full UK valid driving license and passport are essential for this role. Ideally you will have worked within the food industry.

This role is commutable from within and around the following areas: Cambridge, Kings Lynn, Peterborough, Loughborough and Spalding.
