Leading Midlands based systems integrator seeks experienced Control Systems Engineer on a contract basis to support an established team through a busy period.

The role will be varied with the prime purpose to provide back-up and additional support in completion of projects. Duties will include:

• Creating any required software amendments
• Providing additional design support where required – knowledge of Siemens & Rockwell software sought
• Completing any testing activities
• Travelling to site for after-sales support where required (UK based – small amounts)
• Trouble-shooting
• Write/amend documentation

Due to an incredibly large amount of orders, the controls team has a need for someone who can work autonomously with the ability to handle customer queries and multiple small projects.

You will have a solid background of full project lifecycle design. Engineers must be able to complete functional design specifications, carry out FAT tests in house, site commissioning and the configuration of software. Ideally you will have complete project experience with excellent PLC & HMI ability preferably Allen Bradley, Siemens or Mitsubishi.

Preferred industry background would include Water or Process related automation, however we are also interested in Food, FMCG, Automotive or other machinery knowledge.

Rate is negotiable with any expenses covered for site working when required. Commutable from Coventry, Birmingham, Warwick and Nuneaton.
