Site Manager now required for one of the world's largest independent companies for the development of powertrain, instrumentation and test systems.

 

The Site Manager will take ownership and control of contracts for a range of blue chip companies all over the UK.

 

Main Duties, Operational Tasks and Responsibilities

  • To manage all aspects of contracts allocated so that they are completed within time, specification and budget
  • To attend, appropriately contribute to, and when required call such meetings as are required by the management of projects
  • To maintain control over all companies and sub-contract project activities on site with particular emphasis on safety and quality
  • To maintain, and assist in the development of, project management controls of costs and planning
  • To give assistance as required by the Business Manager's in the process of quotation for new contracts.

 

We are seeking candidate’s ideally from a commissioniong/installation/maintenance background within an automated factory environment. Automotive experience would be excellent, however, any other large machinery or heavy manufacturing would be ideal.

 

You will be running teams of anywhere from 10-60 project depending, working on customer sites to ensure projects run smoothly. The Site Manager must be an excellent communicator as you will be the focal point for all customers as well as having the ability to manage multi-discplined teams of Engineers covering internal staff and external contractors.

 

The Site Manager can have either an electrical or mechanical bias providing you have the ability to read drawings and understand how all elements should fit together.

 

This role will be varied working across a range of new and upgrade work, taking involvement with the highest levels of automation technology on the market, and would particularly suit anyone with a keen interest in the latest advancements in both F1 and automotive manufacture.

 

We are seeking candidate’s ideally with site management experience, however, we are also open to applications from Senior Installation/Commissioning Engineers looking for the next step or a new challenge. Full UK valid driving license is also essential. Any ability with MSProject would also be helpful.
