A Senior Maintenance Engineer is now required to join a busy household cleaning products manufacturer. Having been established for almost 40 years, our client have grown to be a market leader within their industry, with a name synonymous with quality.

With the emphasis initially being technically hand-on this position will transition into a more management focused role within 6 – 12 months, therefore candidates looking to apply must be interested in progressing to Senior Management OR have a previous experience working as a Supervisor/Team Leader.

This is a diverse and challenging position and calls for a technically able Senior Maintenance Engineer with the ability to lead a team. Ideally, the successful Maintenance Engineer will be results orientated and self-motivated.

It is expected for the Senior Maintenance Engineer to have excellent fault finding and diagnostic skills in Electrical and Mechanical applications along with experience and understanding of the following:

·                     CNC Fault Finding

·                     3 phase motor controls

·                     Relay logic and integrated medium voltage control systems

·                     Pneumatic and hydraulic circuits

·                     Mechanical repair of rotating machinery/pumps/gearboxes

·                     Some knowledge of small industrial package boilers and rotary air compressors

It is preferred that the Maintenance Engineer is a team player and has a relevant electrical qualification along with familiarity of the following:

·         Flowrap machines

·         Heatsealers

·         CNC controlled band knives

·         Auto-feed beam presses

·         Non-woven carding lines

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Maintenance Engineer that enjoys leading a team to move into a position that is offering progression to senior management. It is crucial for this role that you are able to motivate and coach a team while working in a hands-on capacity.

Working a day shift, our client are offering a salary of £35-45k DOE, with fantastic benefits including a private pension, life assurance and private medical insurance.

The role is situated in Essex, commutable from in and around Basildon, Southend on Sea and Chelmsford.
