Due to expansion and business growth we are urgently recruiting an electrically biased Service Engineer with experience of PLC’s, hydraulics and pneumatics. Working for a leading supplier of food processing & packaging equipment solutions, you will be required to provide work mainly with clients in the South West and support other projects across the UK.

The successful Service Engineer will take responsibility for the start-up, commissioning, repair and service of food packaging/processing equipment as well providing comprehensive technical support to both internal and external customers and for all automation service products.

Ideally, the Service Engineer will have completed a recognised apprenticeship in electrical or electronic Engineering.

The following skills would be highly advantageous:

• Recent installation & commissioning experience within a packaging/FMCG environment
• Extensive knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics
• PLC fault diagnosis experience
• Ability to complete final project handover to client

Due to the nature of this role it is essential to possess a full valid UK driving license and be comfortable spending nights away from home. The successful Engineer will be expected to provide occasional emergency breakdown cover due to sickness and holidays as well as partake in rotational callouts, therefore flexibility is crucial for this position. 

This is a home based role and is commutable from Somerset, Winchester, Basingstoke, Reading, Swindon And surrounding areas

In return our client will offer a competitive basic salary to £40k experience dependent, paid overtime, allowances, company car and pension with an OTE c£45k.
