Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / PPM Inspector is now required for a market leading manufacturer within the building products and services industry to work within their busy site in the East Midlands.

The ideal Engineer for this exciting opportunity will have a strong background within a mechanical maintenance role where they have been involved in planned maintenance and servicing large, heavy industrial equipment.

Joining this experienced team, you will be responsible for the Mechanical Maintenance of equipment including Kilns, Burners and Extruders, working from planned maintenance schedules supporting the general up keep of machinery onsite.

To be successful in this position you will be expected to have a mechanical bias with experience of the following:

• Servicing and maintaining large equipment
• Mechanical experience of fixing and maintaining motors, gearboxes, pumps and kilns
• Solid understanding of Pneumatics and Hydraulics
• Good understanding of Health & Safety
• Previous experience within a similar heavy industry is highly advantageous though not essential

The successful candidate will be working within a small team of Engineers covering a 5 on 5 off 12 hour rotating Nights shift 6pm to 6am pattern.

In return the client is offering a salary package up to £33k which includes shift allowance and bonus as well as 17 days holiday (+ 8 stats), paid overtime, pension scheme and access to the company share options. 

This role is based within Leicestershire and commutable from within and around the following areas: Coalville, Leicester, Hinckley, Nuneaton, Burton Loughborough and surrounding areas.
