Excellent and immediate opportunity available for a skilled Industrial Services Engineer to join one of the world’s largest food manufacturers. They are now seeking a specialist Industrial Services Technician with a solid knowledge of Boiler/Steam systems to join their team.

The Industrial Services Technician, will provide engineering support and expertise by maintaining plant and equipment to optimise safety, quality and plant performance. The Industrial Services Technician will work alongside the Maintenance department supporting the factory to achieve maximum output through planned and preventative action. The will also provide a safe, high quality, cost effective maintenance service to site utilities including preventative, predictive and breakdown maintenance. Supporting the achievement of Factory KPI’s and budgets.

Key Requirements:

• Steam system or Boiler Operating qualifications e.g. City and Guilds or BOAS
• Experience maintaining CHP/Steam raising plant and associated systems
• Practical and theoretical knowledge of maintaining utilities
• Possess solid electrical understanding and qualifiications

Main duties:

• Use Condition Based Monitoring systems (CBM) to ensure that all systems are running smoothly
• Fault finding and rectification of breakdowns
• Run continuous improvement projects to contribute to site energy reduction
• Follow maintenance schedules
• Issue Permit to Work, isolation and relevant safety documentation to contractors onsite
• Provide call out cover - 1 weekend in 3  on a rota

This is a Days role on a two week rotation with an early finish on a on Thursday or Friday. Week 1 - Monday to Thursday/Week 2 - Tuesday to Friday.

Based in the North West this position is commutable within an hour from Birkenhead, Ellesmere Port, Chester, Flint, Wrexham, Northwich, Warrington and surrounding areas.
