Controls and Automation Engineer

Control Systems Engineer immediately sought for a leader in the design and manufacture of end-of-line packaging equipment solutions, packaging integration and systems integration.

Key Responsibilities

·       Involvement in Design & Development of new Control Systems

·       PLC / HMI Programming - Siemens & Rockwell

·       Implementation of Control & Software Systems & Associated Equipment

·       Support continued improvement and Maintain Control Systems - including PLC's & HMI's

·       Upgrading of Existing Equipment & Integration with new Automation / Controls

·       Robotic system layout design and creation of required robot, PLC and HMI programming.

·       Development of Functional, Detailed and Software Design Specifications from User Requirement Specifications

·       Carry out Factory Acceptance Testing, Site Acceptance Testing & on site Commissioning

·       Support the Sales teams using technical expertise to generate new business

·       Build relationships with customers to identify their needs

·       Prepared to travel when required (National & International)

·       Overtime may be required during busy periods

The successful candidate will have proven experience of concept Control Systems Design/ PLC's.

Key Requirements

·       Software design & PLC software experience - Rockwell is ESSENTIAL – ideally you will also have solid ability with Siemens

·       Experience of Motion Control / Servo Control Systems

·       The ability to simultaneously organise and successfully execute multiple project responsibilities

·       Backgorund of automated machinery control
