Field Service Engineer

A Field Service Engineer is now required for a successful worldwide market leader in the development of advanced, special purpose machine tools. Due to continued growth and ongoing expansion of the already successful and established team, the company now requires an experienced Engineer with solid working knowledge of machine tools.

Undertaking a role which is Midlands based with European and Worldwide Travel (around 40%) the successful Service Engineer will:

·         Be experienced in both Electrical/Electronic and Mechanical maintenance disciplines

·         Have previous machine tool maintenance experience

·         Have a clear and logical approach to fault finding complex electronic control systems as well as reactive service and preventative maintenance activities

·         Be willing, flexibility and able to travel extensively worldwide (Around 40%)

EDM knowledge is preferred and applicants with such experience will be of particular interest

As a Service Engineer you will often be the sole representative on site, though a solid support network will be available to you. Working independently or in a small team you will complete:

·         Maintenance, servicing and commissioning of EDM and laser machine tools

·         Preventative and reactive maintenance on customer sites

·         Installation and commissioning support for new systems

·         Technical upgrades

·         Technical training of Engineers and remote technical support

In return you can expect and excellent starting basic salary of up to £41,500 with a car and overseas allowances, with Engineers earning on average £55k+ 

The position is Midlands based with international and domestic travel. The ideal candidate will live in or around East or West Midlands with locations to include Birmingham, Coventry, Derby, Leicester, Northampton, Nottingham, Wolverhampton, Stafford, Stoke-on-Trent, Nuneaton, Tamworth, Loughborough and Worcester.
