Our client are a leading manufacturer, following a £40 million investment in a purpose built manufacturing site an experienced Automation Engineer is now urgently required to join their skilled team. Known for high quality products and investment/development of staff, there has never been a better time to join this well-established and dynamic business.

The position has been created to assist Engineering & Maintenance teams to develop and enhance manufacturing processes on site.

Main Duties:

The sourcing, development, installation and commissioning of electrical, control and process equipment

Ensure provision of machine and process documentation, manuals, drawings

The modification and development of existing processes, with particular regard to the electrical and control aspects, to provide increased efficiencies, additional capacity and/or new product capability.

Financial and logistical planning to ensure projects hand over on time and within budget

Provide technical support to the maintenance team.

The ideal Engineer will have a Degree/HND or HNC in Electrical Engineering or a related subject and/or relevant experience within an engineering, project or maintenance based environment.

A self-motivated team player with experience of Rockwell PLC software and associated networks would be ideal. Knowledge of servo drives and automated machinery within an end user environment highly advantageous.
