Field Service/Commissioning Engineer

Field Service/Commissioning Engineer immediately sought to join a professional and well established Electrical Engineering team for a leader in the design and manufacture of end-of-line packaging equipment solutions, packaging integration and systems integration.

The Field Service/Commissioning Engineer will primarily be working in customers' manufacturing facilities worldwide, whilst being responsible for new equipment installations, rebuilding used equipment, performing field engineering audits and providing general support to install base machinery. Other duties will include:

·      PLC, HMI, and Servo programming

·      Site start-up support of integrated packaging equipment for the consumer products industry

·      Complete Input/Output checks and troubleshooting wiring

·      Providing working supervision of Mechanical/Electrical installations and service of company products

·      Issuing training for customer operations and maintenance personnel, emphasising the safe operation of company products

As part of the Field Service Team you will be actively engaged seeking, encouraging and acting on continuous improvement and developmental opportunities.

To be considered for this role you will ideally possess a City & Guilds / HND or gained an equivalent in an Electrical Engineering discipline, however, alternative Engineering qualifications, combined with extensive experience will also be considered in lieu of HNC/HND. A minimum of 2 years supporting Siemens and/or Rockwell PLC controlled Automation applications within a Service role is preferred. Robotic experience is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.

The anticipated field time over a twelve-month period is 50%, spending anything between 3 days and 3 weeks away at a time, therefore a valid Passport and Full Driving Licence is essential.
