Technical Support Engineer immediately sought for a prestigious and innovative business to be involved with research and development of new automation technologies

 

The Technical Support Engineer will support the Controls and Connectivity team with the delivery of advanced solutions involving production and ICT systems.

 

The sucessful Technical Support Engineer is expected to contribute to Intelligent Automation/Digital Manufacturing/Industry 4.0 related projects. You will be responsible for delivering connectivity solutions in projects related to digital manufacturing and intelligent automation, incorporating digital technologies.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

·       Provide  technical and sub-team leadership to others in areas of expertise

·       Technical leadership and management of project

·       Lead project proposal and business case writing for small and medium projects

·       Lead technical liaison with customer during project delivery

·       Lead engagement with existing customers to win repeat business   

·       Generation of new project ideas in alignment with the theme's strategy

·       Provide technical support to less experienced engineers

 

The successful Technical Support Engineer will ideally be Degree qualified with knowledge and demonstrable experience in applied IoT and M2M technologies and experience with industrial communication protocols and networks. Ideally have high level knowledge of programming languages such as Java, C#, and C++.

 

You must have commerical awareness of maufacturing industries along with a good understanding of the manufacturing sector and relevant technologies.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience, but you can expect c£30-40k with benefits to include up to 8% Pension, Subsidised Lunch, Contribution to Professional Membership Fees, Life Assurance x4, Childcare Vouchers and 25 Days Holiday. The role is Monday-Friday 9-4.

 

Located in the West Midlands, commutable from within and around the following areas: Leicester, Coventry, Rugby, Nuneaton, Hinckley, Tamworth, Leamington and Northampton.
