Electrical Design Engineer

£40,000 - £45,000 + benefits package. East Yorshire based.  Ref: 20240

Electrical Design Engineer – The Role:

• Dealing with all aspects of machine manufacturing from concept to completion from production, design, R&D, procurement, sub-contractors, service support & technical documentation
• Provide relevant supporting technical documentation at each stage
• Produce and check electrical drawings working with Mechanical Design and Software Engineers to ensure customer needs are met
• Provide technical support for electricians, partners, service department, service engineers & customers
• Ensure designs are completed in accordance with the machinery directives to the appropriate standards – ISO 13849, IEC 60204
• Regularly communicate with suppliers & purchasing department
• Occassional travel will be required to other sites including customer & supplier sites
• Produce panel & terminal layouts
• Create test procedures and complete/develop process check sheets

Electrical Design Engineer – The Person:

• HNC to degree level is desirable
• Experience in Electrical Design including EPlan & EPlan Cogineer
• Have relevant knowledge of PLC/HMI/software with experience
• Be a methodical individual with the ability to work alone or part of a team utilising good communication skills
• Have the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines, with an organised approach and good time management skills

We are especially looking for engineers with experience within a Team Leader role, as well as someone who has a good understanding of Electrical Compliance.

Located in the Yorkshire & Humberside area, this role would be commutable from in and around Scarborough, Bridlington, Driffield, Malton, York & Hull
