Control Systems Engineer immediately sought for a prestigious and innovative business to be involved with research and development of new automation technologies

Our client are looking for a Control Engineer to support the Intelligent Automation theme in particular the Controls and Connectivity technical area with creative problem solving, solution concepts, system design and integration. The Control Engineer is expected to contribute to Intelligent Automation/Digital Manufacturing/Industry 4.0 related projects.

Duties & Responsibilities

·       Independent supply of project's technical deliverables;

·       Customer and partner liaison in large collaborative projects to ensure requirements capture, project delivery, overall project direction;   

·       Generation of key project and strategic initiatives in alignment with theme's strategy.

The Control Engineer will have a solid knowledge of industrial automation control technologies and standards, along with experience of programming languages i.e. Java, C#, C++ and SQL preferred but not essential. Any project management skills along with experience of external customer and provider engagement would be ideal. You will also have experience of development, programming and test of advanced control systems in industrial scale equipment.

Desirable further experience, knowledge and attributes of the Control Engineer include:

·       Experience with Beckhoff technologies

·       Experience in developing machine connectivity adaptors

·       Knowledge of industrial middleware technologies

·       Good experience in industrial robot programming

·       Knowledge on IT networking

The successful Control Systems Engineer will be Degree qualified and must have a good understanding of the manufacturing sector and manufacturing technologies.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience, but you can expect c£30-40k with benefits to include up to 8% Pension, Subsidised Lunch, Contribution to Professional Membership Fees, Life Assurance x4, Childcare Vouchers and 25 Days Holiday. The role is Monday-Friday 9-4.
