World leading manufacturer of CNC Machine Tools now urgently requires a new Site Based Service Engineer with strong electrical bias and experience of 5 Axis machines to join their highly skilled and growing team of Engineers. This is a days role Monday – Friday.

We are looking for candidates who are preferably time served and have previously worked for either a machine tool builder or the maintenance side of industry. Ideal candidates will have previous experience in a service or maintenance environment.

Candidates will ideally be able to fault-find, diagnose and correct errors on large 5 axis milling machine tools, and be able to interrogate PLC programmes using Siemens S5 or S7.

Experienced candidates must be conversant with Siemens 840D CNC control systems, including the ability to interrogate control software and ladder.

We are also open to Junior Engineers with an electrical bias looking for development & further training.

Please note due to the nature of the client, you MUST either already have or be eligible to obtain Security Clearance.

Hours will be 8-6 Monday – Thursday, with a 3.30 finish on a Friday. The first 37.5 hours are paid at normal rate, with the additional 7.5 paid as overtime. When on annual leave, you will still be paid the additional overtime hours.

As this is a large site, the client will be paying to upgrade your car insurance to business insurance as well as paying 45p per mile for any miles driven.

This is a site based role therefore candidates should ideally live in or around the North West region - Ideal locations are Blackburn, Chorley, Preston.
