Leading manufacturer of automated machinery and control solutions has an excellent opportunity available to further develop their team and recruit a Site Supervisor to organise and supervise the installation of automated machinery for leading UK manufacturers.

Working mainly within the Automotive and Aerospace industries, the successful Electrical Installations/Site Supervisor will be responsible for managing site personnel and resources during the electrical installation of PLC/CNC based control systems on multiple sites and will include:

·       Preparation of Risk and method statements for site work

·       Managing site personnel and contractors to ensure safe and productive working conditions

·       Managing site Health and Safety policy and promoting safe working practices.

·       Liaising with project management teams to detail project progress, required resources and materials etc.

·       Liaising with customers and attend site meetings in order to report on project progress, milestones and objectives.

·       Solving technical problems and liaising with project and design teams to assist in finding engineering solutions and resolutions.

·       Overseeing cable tray/trunking and cable installations

·       Machine motor/sensor and solenoid wiring installation and connections to control system

·       Installation quality assurance, testing and power-up

·       Working with software engineering teams to assist with system commissioning activities

The Electrical Installation Manager will have site supervisory skills, be motivated and driven who can work within the management team to further develop the companies products and services. This role will often include working away from home and weekend working.

Ideally, the Site Supervisor will have at least 3 years experience of personnel management, a sound working knowledge of the 17th Edition of the electrical installations regulations and have a a qualification in an electrical engineering discipline and well as familiarity with Heath and Safety Executive safe working practices and Electricity in Work regulations.
