Control Systems Engineer - Siemens

West Yorkshire

£35-43k OTE +20% of Salary

Ref SJH 20431

Siemens Control Systems Engineer urgently sought to join a small friendly team in a well-established and stable process control & automation company in West Yorkshire.

You will be experienced in concept PLC & SCADA software design and be competent to work with Siemens TIA & Classic – the ideal candidate will also be skilled with Rockwell controls.

As part of this role, you will be visiting clients throughout the UK with very occasional offshore travel, therefore you must be able to pass all medical and offshore survival training. The client is willing to pay for required certification if you do not possess this already.

The Control Systems Engineer will be responsible for projects through their complete lifecycle for a varied range of process automation projects within Oil, Gas and Pharmaceutical sectors.

As you will be visiting clients to install and commission projects, your customer service and communication skills will be at an excellent standard.  You will be able to produce all the necessary documentation including FDS, SAT, FAT and will be involved in full project lifecycles.

Normal working hours are 8:00am – 4:30pm Monday to Thursday and 8:00am to 1:00pm Friday.

Should you be a slightly less experienced Engineer with experience of other PLC software apart from Siemens and are keen to learn, we are also interested to hear from you. You would need proven ability to design software from concept including completing documentation.

Basic salary up to £43k depending on experience with opportunity to earn an additional 20% on top with offshore and overtime payments. All travel is paid door to door. Offshore travel works out to roughly once every 18 months.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable controls software team with the chance to work on a varied project base.

Based in West Yorkshire, the role is commutable from within and around the following locations: Leeds, Huddersfield, Dewsbury, Wakefield, Rochdale, Halifax and Bradford.
