Mechanical Machinery Design Engineer urgently required for a well-established automation business with a solid growth plan in place. Working with leading blue chip clients across a wide variety of industries, they have a proven background of delivering successful designs for complex bespoke machinery and robot/automated assembly systems.

The Mechanical Designer will undertake a varied project portfolio using SolidWorks 3D CAD.

Duties will include:

• To be part of a multi-disciplinary team to lead design concepts for bespoke automation system solutions
• Where required be involved in system concepting for quotations using 3D and 2D CAD from URS documents
• Expert level in the use of 3D CAD - Solid Works.
• To understand the project time scales and the associated challenges to ensure design completion to the agreed project plans.
• Have good knowledge of detail design and geometric tolerancing
• Have good understanding of the Machinery (safety) regulations, relevant EU harmonized standards and PL rating, Risk Assessments and CE marking.
• Implement proven cost effective machine design techniques and standards
• Conduct FMEA for internal and external analysis.
• Generate FDS, DDS documentation as required.

We are seeking applicants ideally educated to HNC/Degree level in Mechanical Engineering with experience working in an automation/machinery design role
