Proposals Engineer with experience of a practical engineering role now required for an established systems integrator to leading names within the Oil & Gas sector. With steady 20% year on year growth, this specialist business are working on a range of high technology projects across all five continents for over 150 global operators, EPC’s and integrators.

Due to the clients progressive growth a fantastic opportunity has now arisen within a small but expanding proposals team. You will be responsible for the successful turnaround of a commercially viable and technically compliant proposal to agreed deadlines. The ideal candidate will have a suitable engineering background, desirably with Oil & Gas industry experience with strong IT skills. Duties for the role will include the following:   

·       Preparation of detailed proposals for the Company’s complete range of products and services

·       Production of technically and commercially compliant documents to agreed timescales using company procedures

·       Act as sole point of contact for customers from receipt of enquiry until award of contract

·       Responsible for the interpretation and questioning of customers’ requirements in order to establish a proven design solution

·       Follow up quotations and support tender negotiations as required and play an integral part in organising and attending technical, ‘kick off’ and commercial/sales meetings as necessary

The Proposals Engineer will have:

·       HNC, HND or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

·       Familiarity with commercial/technical review processes

·       Familiarity with drawing packages such as AutoCAD and MS Visio

·       Broad engineering experience. Previous experience in a combined engineering and sales role would be desirable

·       Knowledge of the Oil and Gas business/industry would be a significant advantage
