One of the most experienced players in the industrial automation systems integration market has a new and urgent requirement for a Service Coordinator to provide invaluable support to the Service Management team.


The ideal candidate will have background of working within an engineering environment with any knowledge of automation – PLC/SCADA/Drives/Robotics – highly advantageous. This role would also suit Service Engineers/Technical Support seeking more of an administrative office based position.


You will be responsible for coordinating the day to day activities for a busy Service Department liaising directly with the Production and Service Manager.


Knowledge, Skills and Experience includes:

  • Proficient IT skills, to include good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must have previous experience within a Customer Service environment
  • Ability to develop good understanding of Customers Business
  • Good communication/organisational skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of engineering industry preferable
  • Able to deal with multiple priorities


Day to day

  • Coordination of Service Engineer's day to day activities including issuing jobs
  • Receive inbound phone calls and place with engineers, organising customer site attendance
  • Ensuring all jobs are completed efficiently, from order intake through to administration and invoicing
  • Keeping Engineers fully informed and assisting with any issues or problems that may arise, as well as being involved in taking calls from customers regarding breakdown of machinery and routine servicing
  • Liaise with the Procurement Department in ordering spare parts
  • Update service and training records, oversee timesheets/reports, maintain/amend the service rota
  • Update and issue Service credit updates
  • Organise and schedule Maintenance events, inductions and replanned visits
  • Arrange travel and accommodation for Service personnel.
  • Escalate and inform any issues to the Production and Service manager.



  • Coordinate quotations
  • Calculate, update and invoice customers of T&M cost's
  • Handling calls from Clients, Engineers and Suppliers with regards to on-going reactive or PPM work
  • Requesting Purchase Orders and Job Numbers for all service work


Business Systems / Contract management

  • Maintain service department databases & monitor Service Contract performance
  • Raise invoice requests, chase overdue payments
  • Manage and maintain contracts
  • Jointly Develop Dept Performance Measures
  • Assist in develop spares stocking strategy





We are seeking candidates based in the West Midlands area with ideal locations being Wolverhampton, Wellington or Telford.
