Project & In-house Commissioning Engineer

South Coast

Owing to the award of exciting new projects, a market leading special purpose machinery manufacturer urgently requires experienced Engineers to join their team to manage the commissioning, test and delivery of bespoke machinery. Taking ownership of the day to day project tasks, to ensure timely delivery of the project.

 

With an excellent record of innovation and development, they have a track record of designing and manufacturing efficient and reliable machines for worldwide customers.

 

This position requires flexibility to travel a small amount of time (c20%). It is envisaged 80% of your time will be based in the manufacturing facility in the South of UK.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

·         To take ownership of projects from sales through to installation completion, undertaking and completing tasks on time ensuring the delivery meets customer requirements and expectations

·         Commissioning and testing of equipment ready for acceptance by the customer

·         Create all documentation, including risk assessments as and when required prior to dispatch, ensuring all follow up tasks are completed on installation ensuring compliance with CE standards

·         Attend project evaluation meetings for assigned projects and all following review meetings

·         Supporting the aftersales team in the creation and updating of machine manuals, installation and training manuals as well as other technical documentation

·         Assist in the preparation of machine and upgrade quotations

 

The ideal candidate for this position will have previous experience of building, testing and commissioning of special purpose capital equipment.

 

Engineering qualifications in either mechanical, controls or electrical engineering is required with experience of servo drives, PLC and other automation equipment highly desirable.
