Owing to the award of exciting new projects, a market leading special purpose machinery manufacturer urgently requires a Mechanical Design Engineer with good knowledge for bespoke machinery design. With an excellent record of innovation and development, they have a track record of designing and manufacturing efficient and reliable machines.

You will be working as a Mechanical Design Engineer supporting a range of printing machinery & converting equipment, duties will include design and development of the product using Pro/engineer Wildfire 3D CAD system and involve part modelling, part detailing, creation of complex mechanical assemblies and assemblies drawing in order to obtain Bills Of Materials (BOMs).

Ideally having project management skills, the successful candidate will be an accomplished mechanical design engineer of special purpose machinery and have worked on projects with typical lead times of 12 to 16 weeks.  It is essential that you possess 3D design skills in Pro/Engineer and have designed from concept.

In return a salary up to £40k is offered (depending on experience), paid overtime, company pension scheme and 25 days holiday + statutory bank holidays and is commutable from Portsmouth, Southampton, Winchester, Ferndown, Christchurch, Littlehampton, Fareham, Bognor Regis, Andover and Salisbury.
