Excellent opportunity available for an Automation Engineer ideally skilled with DCS systems to join a leading plant & process automation supplier.

Day to Day Responsibilities

·         Be involved in the delivery of projects, maintenance and breakdown services to clients across a broad range of industries including Power Generation, Pulp & Paper, Minerals, Marine and other process sectors

·         Provide routine & on demand customer service including software development & documentation

·         Carry out maintenance & inspection of automation systems which will include periodic out of hours on-call support

·         Work with the operations team providing project & commissioning support on large scale capital projects

The ideal candidate for this role will have

•           Have a broad range of experience and knowledge preferably of DCS (SCADA/PLC background also considered), Instrumentation systems and associated wiring, Safety Instrumented Systems, Information Management (Database/SQL), Machine Control or Condition Monitoring

•           Be qualified to at least HNC/HND level in a relevant Engineering discipline

•           Have a minimum of three years’ work experience with Automation Systems, DCS, PLC/ SCADA, SRS

•           Have a strong understanding of IT concepts including Networks, Security and Operating Systems

•           Be able to diagnose, repair and maintain electrical & instrumentation systems

Any additional experience of the following would be beneficial:

• Experience of Hima Safety Instrumented System
• Knowledge of Functional Safety (TUV)
• Have experience of identifying business opportunities at customer sites
• Additional language skills
