World leading Machine Tool manufacturer now have a position available immediately for an Engineer with strong ICT and computer skills to joim a team focused on expanding IoT Industry 4.0 structure for customers.  

 

This company are open to applications from both experienced and junior level Engineers. They provide an excellent training scheme, therefore even if you have just completed your apprenticeship, HNC or equivalent within an engineering discipline, we are keen to hear from you.

 

You will be joining a business who in almost 50 years of successful operation in the UK have never made a redundancy. Stable, highly profitable and extremely professional with solid advancement opportunities. All of the senior management team joined the business in an engineering capacity.

 

The successful IoT/ Industry 4.0 Product Engineer will be working with high-tech systems for a broad range of UK based customers. This will be a product focused role involved with networking embedded PC’s across internal intranets and the internet for support purposes, and to control the successful operation of bespoke machine tools.

 

Your daily responsibilities will include:

·         Promotion of products inhouse, at site visits and other marketing

·         Implementation of technical requirements, feasibility studies, installation and product training

·         Providing hardware & ICT support to all machines

·         Fault finding, technical support, customer care, data analysis

·         Developing process and procedures supporting the hardware and ICT element of machinery

 

The IoT/ Industry 4.0 Product Engineer will be working from a modern, state of the art showroom showcasing the latest and most technically complex machinery. You will be provided extensive training with a clear progression path to develop your career.

 

Joining the Support Team, the IoT Engineer will have a genuine interest in hands on engineering with understanding of machinery operation & fault finding. You will:

 

  • Ideally have previous experience of IoT, remote support and Industry 4.0 products
  • Solid understanding of computer networks (IPv4, DHCP, Firewall, Routing, RDC/Remote Technologies)
  • General PC hardware and micrsoft software skills essential
  • Previous experience of  a manufacturing/industrial environment
  • A systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving

 

This role will regularly involve some travel to customer sites across the UK.

This role is commutable from within and around the following locations: Bewdley, Stourbridge, Worcester, Halesowen, Stourport-on-Seven and Kidderminster.
