Automation Applications Engineer - The Role:

• Play a critical part in ensuring the applications team deliver complete end-to-end software and commissioning solutions to support all areas of the business and diverse customer projects
• Robot Programming & PLC Integration
• Deploy and test software
• Commission automated equipment with previously created software applications
• Fault find and recommission existing systems
• Commission mechanical and electrical control systems in-conjunction with other team members
• Take simulations/off-line content and complete commissioning of all project automation elements
• Pre-commission in West Midlands manufacturing plant, then on company sites throughout the UK & Ireland
• Liaise with other engineering teams during project development phase to ensure a complete turn-key system is delivered

Automation Applications Engineer - The Person:

• Must have a technical engineering qualification
• Experienced robot programmer experience and general experience in the automation arena including experience within an OEM/Automotive environment
• Result oriented with a positive outlook, and clear focus on high quality of work and attention to detail
• Be a professional and credible individual with a good eye for detail and a thorough understanding of software engineering systems related to automation and robotics

Located in West Midlands, this role would be commutable from Coventry, Birmingham, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Telford and surrounding areas.
