We are excited to announce a new opportunity for an Electrical & Electronics Design Engineer to join our client's team in Dorset. This full-time, on-site role is ideal for someone who thrives completing challenging projects, with a keen interest in a diverse electrical & electronics engineering hardware focused role.

Electrical Design Engineer 

£35-50k – Dependent on Experience Level

 

37-hour week – 1pm Friday Finish – Additional Friday off per month (on top of holiday), 25 Days + BH to start, increasing to 30 with service

Electrical Design Engineer - The Role:

  • Design & development of complex electrical schematics for bespoke projects
  • Designs will incorporate robotics, switchgear, electronics and some PCB
  • Occasional site work – c10%

 

Electrical Design Engineer - The Person:

  • Ideally apprentice trained but not essential
  • Electrical safety experience highly beneficial
  • Preferably experience of an industrial electrical CAD package i.e. AutoCAD Electrical, Eplan, Solidedge or SEE Electrical
  • Experience of Electronic Engineering, Circuit Design, and Electrical Engineering
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work both individually and as part of a team
  • Skilled at working collaboratively with customers and suppliers
  • Knowledge of hardware, power systems and control electronics

Any additional experience of the defence sectors highly advantageous. Applicants should note you will be working on defence projects; therefore, a Security Check will be carried out. You are required to be a British passport holder for this reason (not essential to be British born).

This company are offering a position within their established team, inside a supportive and family friendly environment. They have set up a system offering additional paid holidays to ensure a healthy and happy workforce. You begin with 25 days allowance + bank holidays. After two years’ service this increases to 27, with an additional day per year to 30 days. Every Friday is a 1pm finish. Each month every member of staff is given one additional Friday off.

Weekend work or overtime is incredibly rare. Please note this role must be office based – remote or hybrid is not an option.
