We have a brand new opportinity available to join a reputable Control Panel manufacturer supplying both international and UK markets. Currently in search of a talented Tendering Design Engineer to join their growing team. This is an opportunity to be part of a fast-paced environment, taking ownership of contracts and contributing significantly to an engineering department.

Tendering Design Engineer 

£40,000 - £50,000 + Flexi-time, Annual Bonus, Company Pension

35 Hours per week with an early Friday finish

Open to applicants on a full time or part time basis

Tendering Design Engineer - The Role:

• Being part of an estimating/project engineering team, liaising with the shop floor and customers
• Producing quotations from client specifications and line diagrams
• Preparing rough hand sketches to pass on to the drawing office
• Preparing bill of materials
• Interacting with customers and internal staff to resolve any issues
• Working in accordance with all our company policies

Tendering Design Engineer - The Person:

• A professional qualification in an engineering discipline (i.e. HNC, ONC, NVQ)
• Experience of industrial Engineering projects
• Good people skills, time management and attention to detail
• Prrvious experience in Control Panel design for industrial products would be beneficial
• Some knowledge of PLC’s and how they operate
• Knowledge of control philosophy
• Experience in managing design projects of different types
• Ability to communicate effectively, both internally and externally
