Dedicated Commissioning Engineer with solid electrical drives & controls background – preferably multi-drive systems - urgently required to join one of the most experienced players in the systems integration market. This client has an excellent reputation for delivering complete turnkey projects to a worldwide client base and are a leading UK automation solutions provider and systems integrator.

 

Duties will include:

  • Site installation, commissioning and management
  • In-house testing and on-site commissioning of various industrial projects
  • First point of contact for the customer
  • Prepared to be involved with reactive service work as required

 

The candidate will ideally be qualified to degree level in electrical/electronic engineering, have previous experience in a similar environment along with a good working knowledge of a range of Drives, PLC’s and automation/electrical products.

 

Experience required:

  • Managing and documenting the information required for the successful completion and commissioning of a project
  • Experience of drives/control and automation in varied industries such as metal, printing, paper, automotive, FMCG and warehouse/distribution
  • Accustomed to working well both on your own or as part of a team

 

 

The Commissioning Engineer must have excellent competency with drives with the ability to set them up and make amendments where required. You must be able to set up fully including:

  • Speed & torque control
  • Configure the system to its sequence

 

We are looking for Engineers ideally within an hour’s commute of the Shropshire based office. The Commissioning Engineer should expect to be out with clients c70% of the time, with the other 30% based in the workshop involved with test phases of projects. If you live a little further and are happy with the commute when required, we are still interested to hear from you.

 

Ideal locations would include: Wolverhampton, South Birmingham, Telford, Cannock, Stoke on Trent, Welshpool, Crewe and Oswestry.

 

Time on site is generally 2-3 weeks with occasional projects 5-6 weeks. Overtime is paid door to door and is an enhanced hourly rate.
