Control Engineer 

£40,000 - £60,000 + 5% Pension, 25 Days Holiday & Car Allowance

North West based.

Control Engineer - The Role:

• Design & development of full, PLC based controls systems for automation systems
• Developing PLC code and HMI systems, typically Siemens and Rockwell
• Design and development of electrical control panels and electrical installations for systems including electrical calculations
• Testing, fault finding / rectification and commissioning of electrical and control systems on customers sites
• Help supervise / monitor the on-site installation of automation systems
• Preparing all necessary internal and external documentation in support of control systems, including URS, FDS documents, HMI/SCADA specifications, Electrical Specifications
• Customer training and handover of installed systems
• Liaising with and controlling external partners in pursuit of best in class electrical solutions relating to deliverables

• Assist on site installation, maintenance and repair as required.
• Working with the project team ensuring that the solution designed is fit for purpose and meets or exceeds the customer’s requirements
• Supporting the customer during the ‘early life’ phase of a project go live
• Develop effective working relationships with all relevant personnel
• Support and promote continuous improvement in all areas of the workplace
• Maintain a safe, healthy working environment
• Help maintain and document policies and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency.

Control Engineer - The Person:

• HNC or equivalent in Electrical, Control or related engineering discipline
• Experience of materials handling/conveyor automation projects highly desirable

• Delivered full life cycle automation or integration projects
• Ability to interpret detailed technical specifications & equipment data sheets
• Work well under pressure and consistently meet deadlines
• Willingness to travel within the UK & occasionally overseas and be an excellent representative for the company whilst on site working with customers

Located in North West, this role would be commutable from Warrington, Manchester, Runcorn, Northwich, Altrincham and surrounding areas
