This client is a market leading and profitable manufacturer of a broad range of conveyor systems and specialist handling equipment for the food and drinks industries. An immediate opportunity exists for an experienced Control & Automation Design Engineer.


The successful candidate will manage the control and electrical content of a range of projects, all the way from the initial order through to completion. You will work closely with the mechanical project team and ensure that timescales and deadlines are met, as well as giving technical and commercial support to the sales team when required.


In addition to this, for your projects you will organise and manage an electrical installation team ensuring that the customer Health and Safety requirements are met and good working practices are maintained to the highest standards.


Excellent communication skills are a vital part of the role, as you will be communicating with client’s regarding current and future projects, as well as a wide range of colleagues.


This role is home based (40%), UK site based (50%) with occasional visits to the office based in Bedfordshire.


Experienced with Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC software, you will be electrically qualified, IEE conversant with practical experience of installation and commissioning within the Food/Beverage industries for packaging and handling projects. Computer literate with knowledge of Health & Safety and CDM, being able to produce risk assessments and method statements.
