Service Engineer with machine tool experience urgently required to provide
Derbyshire/Yorkshire coverage for a business who specialise in the sales &
service of a diverse range of CNC Controlled Machine Tools including Vertical
Turning Lathes & Multi - Axis Vertical Turning & Machining Centres.
The
successful Service Engineer will be responsible for the following:
- Installation and
commissioning of machine tools
- Routine
maintenance and Preventative Maintenance contracts
- Breakdown support
of CNC machine tools in terms of fault diagnosis & repair
- Provide Customer Training
- Sound mechanical
knowledge of CNC machines required, required to perform mechanical tasks,
exchange ball screws, spindles, geometric alignments
The ideal Machine Tool
Service Engineer will come from a CNC machine tool background with a 60/40 electrical
bias, as well as possessing excellent communication skills, fault finding
knowledge of CNC's - Siemens 840D/ Heidenhain experience as well as hydraulics
and pneumatics is ideal. Mechanically biased Service engineers need to be
confident of machine control operation and use of diagnosis, electrical
knowledge required.
My client will try
their best to ensure Machine Tool Service Engineers work as close to home as
possible so they are home of an evening. However, the right candidate will need
to be flexible to support colleagues covering the rest of the UK and Ireland as
and when needed. All training will be provided in week blocks in Europe.
In return
my client will offer a basic salary of £35 to £40k depending on experience with
OTE c£50k+, along with a Company Vehicle, Stakeholder Pension in addition to
25 days annual holiday plus stats. Full training will be provided at the
companies’ principals.

locations would include: Derby, Nottingham, Sheffield, Leeds, Doncaster,
Chesterfield or Rotherham.
