Mechanical Designer/Project Manager required for this expanding company specialising in machinery automation.

 

This developing company specialise in the provision of materials handling solutions for many different industries. As well as designing and manufacturing their own automated systems, they work alongside leading handling equipment suppliers to provide bespoke projects for clients with the objective to enhance efficiency, increase production and improve reliability.

 

Over the past twenty years they have become acknowledged specialists supporting projects with conveyors, palletisers, lifting equipment, wrappers, strappers and cutting edge technologies such as robotic handling systems.

 

Responsibilities:

·       Producing 3D models, detailed drawings, fabrication drawings, general arrangement drawings and list of parts

·       Attending and contributing to design reviews with customers and relevant internal staff

·       Attending customer premises when required at assist with technical matters and design/development

 

It is expected that the Mechanical Design Engineer will be qualified in an engineering discipline or hold a minimum of HNC/HND in Engineering. It is also highly desirable that the Designer has experience of working within special purpose machinery. Strong communication skills are essential along with excellent time management and the ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines.
