Two excellent opportunities are immediately available for Control Systems Engineers within a leading global systems integrator. We are open to applications from Engineer up to Senior Controls level – salary will be commensurate with experience.


Emplyed as either Control Systems or Senior Systems, as a Control Engineer you will be expected to complete the following:


·       Design and code PLC/HMI control systems – we would expect experienced candidates to also be competent with design & coding of SCADA software

·       Carry out any necessary modifications to existing hardware and panels

·       Communicate effectively with customers regarding the project

·       Complete all required testing and installation/commissioning at the customers site

·       Write all technical documentation including FDS and Manuals

·       Provide customer support 24/7 and out of hours


The ideal Control Systems Engineer will have:

·       Obtained formal/technical qualifications in electrical or automation engineering

·       Gained a minimum of 3 year's experience of leading on projects

·       Carry out PLC Programming, ideally using Rockwell and/or Siemens TIA

·       Electrical Skills 24VDC, 230VAC, 415VAC

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·       Be willing and flexible to travel worldwide (approx. 30/40% per year)

·       Hold a valid driving licence



For more Senior Engineers, you can expect your duties to also include:

·       Identify opportunities for future work

·       Take commerical responsibility for projects, including maximising profit, completing quotations/estimating and ensuring projects are commerically successful

·       Providing coaching/guidance & motivation to team members technically and pastorally as required

·       Delegate to and set targets for team members

·       Use project management tools efficiently

Ideally you will have the ability to design and code SCADA/HMI software to include screens, scripts and database interfacing with experience of Wonderware InTouch highly advantageous.

We are seeking customer focused individuals who enjoy complete project involvement including the opportunity to travel throughout the UK and worldwide – full UK valid driving license and passport are essential for this role. You will have ideally have solid background of the design and development of control systems within an automated process machinery environment.


This role is commutable from within and around the following areas: Cambridge, Kings Lynn, Peterborough, Loughborough and Spalding.
