Small and expanding established leading company based in Essex is seeking an experienced Mechanical Production Fitter. This role is ideal if you enjoy worldwide travel & offers training and stability.

Skilled Mechanical Fitter

£32,000 - £38,000 + paid overtime, site allowances & travel expenses.

Essex based with Worldwide Travel.

Mechanical Fitter – The Role:

• Mechanical production build of large complex equipment from scratch or drawings/ pneumatic diagrams
• Installation and / or commissioning and or testing of large complex equipment
• Reading and working to complex engineering drawings with attention to detail
• Working with and reading pneumatic diagrams
• Fitting motors / gearboxes / bearings / pipe work (Copper & UPVC) / drive shafts etc.
• Appreciation of squaring and levelling machines

Mechanical Fitter – The Person:

• 2 years’ demonstratable experience of mechanical production build of large complex equipment from scratch to drawings/pneumatic diagrams
• 5 years’ experience of typical mechanical skills – marking out, drilling, tapping, cutting etc.
• 2 years’ experience fitting motors/gearboxes/bearings/pipe work/drive shafts etc.
• Experience and appreciation of squaring and levelling machines
• Experience in glass/conveyor or food processing equipment
• Experience of installation/commissioning/testing of large complex equipment
• Good level of fitness with a flexible work style and the ability to work overtime and onsite (overseas) when required
• Ability to effectively work to deadlines as part of a team or alone
• Be able to provide own tools in-line with job expectations

This position is based in Essex and commutable from Colchester, Hereford, Epping, Chelmsford, Harlow, Bishops Stortford or Saffron Walden.

Also suitable for Mechanical Engineer or a Maintenance Technician.
