Electrical Fitting Team Leader

This specialist designer
and manufacturer of custom solutions in the nuclear and defence industry is now
looking for an Electrical Fitting Team Leader to join and manage a small team
within the organisation.
Day to Day
Responsibilities:
·
Ensuring
that all electrical fitters understand and sign onto the relevant safe systems
of work and risk assessments associated with the area and specific tasks
·
Producing
electrical route cards and MITP documentation to ensure that electrical works
are completed according to procedures and contract requirements
·
Managing
workshop build space allocation, scheduling projects and prioritising work
·
Working
with the EC&I engineering design team and the Production Control Manager to
schedule projects and prioritise work
·
Be
hands on with electrical fitting activities alongside the team
·
Supervise
all electrical contract work
·
Inspect
and test work
·
Sign-off
electrical drawings
·
Assign
and supervise all internal electrical maintenance tasks
·
Time
management of cell operatives including shift arrangements, holidays, absences,
day-to-day attendance, weekend working, overtime and timesheet submissions
·
Responsible
for the development of the team including SQEP assessment, PDRs, mentoring and
training needs analysis
·
Performance
management of the cell operatives, including giving clearly defined work
instructions, providing feedback, appraising performance, dealing with issues
and managing conflict
·
Controls
operational expenditure (consumables, tools and other stock) within their cell
and supports new capital expenditure projects as required
All candidates MUST
hold a valid, up to date British passport to obtain Security Clearance.
Candidates will have
ideally completed a recognised training scheme or apprenticeship as an
electrician and passed the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Exam.
You should be able to
read and fully understand Electrical General Arrangements, Schematics and
Wiring Drawings. Candidates will ideally have previous experience of team
leading, writing documentation and customer facing skills.
Experience of CAD
redlining is non-essential, but will be highly beneficial.
This role is commutable
from Telford, Dudley, Wolverhampton, Walsall and Cannock.
