You will be joining a business who in almost 50 years of successful operation in the UK have never made a redundancy. Stable, highly profitable and extremely professional with solid advancement opportunities. All of the senior management team joined the business in an engineering capacity.

This company are open to applications from both experienced and junior level Engineers. They provide an excellent training scheme, therefore even if you have just completed your apprenticeship, HNC or equivalent within an engineering discipline, we are keen to hear from you.

We are also interested to speak to Machine Tool Service Engineers keen to develop their career further with a move into laser technology.

Salary is negotiable with experience. Should you already be a skilled Installation Engineer within 5-axis machine tools – laser cutting, punch press, shearing -  but are looking for a company who will provide you with longevity, stability and the highest level of technology available, call us for a confidential discussion.

The successful Installation Engineers will be working across their entire range of high-tech systems for a broad range of UK based customers.

Responsibilities for the Installation Engineers will include:

  • Installation of equipment at customer sites across the UK
  • Training customers in the operation, maintenance & safety aspects of machines
  • Regular routine service of machines and associated equipment
  • Diagnose and rectify machine problems & breakdowns
  • Promote tooling sales/machinery sales and sales of maintenance contracts
  • Commissioning state of the art machinery in the UK & EU

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of machine tools, however, as a business who recognise attitude, a want to learn and a desire for self-development, providing you have relevant machine tool/machinery background alongside suitable engineering qualifications, we are keen to hear from you.

You MUST be a strong multi-skilled Engineer (50/50 split idea) and will preferably be Apprentice trained. Also required:

  • Understanding of electrical/electronic/hydraulic/mechanical drawings & systems
  • Strong electrical experience including fault finding skills with schematic understanding
  • Strong PC skills

You will have a flexible approach to working hours and travel, being prepared to work away from home on a regular basis, along with the ability to work alone and under pressure. We are seeking Installation Engineers who are enthusiastic and self-motivated with a professional attitude.

Location wise you will be located in the Greater Midlands with ideal locations including within and around Rugby, Nottingham, Derby, Peterborough, Coventry, Birmingham, Dudley or Stafford. You will travel across the whole UK and into Europe, however, work will be planned as you will be responsible purely for new machinery installations. You will be flexible to spend up to 5 weeks away from home Monday – Friday with occasional weekends required.

The position is based on a 45 hour week (to include travel time). Hours are monitored and should you be working significantly more, TOIL is given.

Package includes company car, bonus, private healthcare with cash allowance, 25 days holiday + stats, full expenses & allowances, tooling, IT equipment and uniform provision & cleaning.
