Global leader in machine tool technology have an immediate requirement for a Junior Machine Tool Service Engineer to join their specialist machine tool service team.

This company are also open to applications from recently qualified Engineers. They provide an excellent training scheme, therefore even if you have just completed your apprenticeship, HNC or equivalent within an engineering discipline, we are keen to hear from you.

You will be joining a business who in almost 50 years of successful operation in the UK have never made a redundancy. Stable, highly profitable and extremely professional with solid advancement opportunities. All of the senior management team joined the business in an engineering capacity.

The successful Junior Service Engineer will be working with high-tech systems for a broad range of UK based customers.

Responsibilities for the Junior Service Engineer will include:

·         Routine planned maintenance of machine tools and associated equipment

·         Promote sales of machine tools and associated equipment

Any previous machine tool experience or other engineering background is highly advantageous i.e. Maintenance preferably apprentice trained.

This is a business who recognise a determined, positive attitude, a want to learn and a desire for self-development. Providing you hold suitable engineering qualifications, we are keen to hear from you even without or with minimal work experience.

Basic understanding of electrical/hydraulic and mechanical systems would be an advantage.

You will have a flexible approach to working hours and travel, along with a strong understanding of customer service and high standards of values. You will also be enthusiastic with excellent communication skills.

Full training will be given through a structured in-house and field based programme. We would expect Junior Service Engineers to rotate into the main engineering team from 18 months – 4 years depending on capability. This is an excellent starting point for Engineers looking for a stepping stone into a service position where full support is provided every step of the way.

Location wise you will be located preferably within/around the Manchester area – along the M62 corridor. Engineers are kept as regional as possible but UK cover must be expected as part of the role. The position is based on a 40 hour week. Overtime paid at 1.25 of salary. Weekend working very rare.
