Global leader in machine tool technology have an immediate requirement for an ICT Machine Tool Support Engineer to join their specialist machine tool service team.

 

This company are open to applications from both experienced and junior level Engineers. They provide an excellent training scheme, therefore even if you have just completed your apprenticeship, HNC or equivalent within an engineering discipline, we are keen to hear from you.

The successful ICT Field Support Engineer will be working with high-tech systems for a broad range of UK based customers.

 

Responsibilities for the ICT Field Support Engineer will include:

·         Implement and support the hardware & ICT element of machines

·         Networking and embedded PC’s across internal intranets and the internet for support purposes and to control the operation of specialist machine tools

·         Hardware & software installation incorporating problem solving/fault finding

·         Provide customer training along with developing & processes and procedures

·         Additional project work

 

We are seeking an Engineer with an active interest in hands on engineering and understanding of machinery operations including fault finding. Also sought:

·       General PC hardware and Microsoft software ESSENTIAL

·       An understanding of HMI systems running embedded software

·       Network, Wi-Fi, server and firewall technology

·       Data analysis and manipulation experience would be highly advantageous

 

You will have an aptitude for providing technical support and take a systematic, disciplined & analytical approach to problem solving. You will also:

 

·    Have the ability to build customer relationships

·    Have an understanding of product promotion, business acumen and marketing awareness

·    A flexible and customer focused approach

 

This role will regularly involve working at customer sites across the UK and occasionally mainland Europe, sometimes at short notice. Flexibility is key.

This role is commutable from within and around the following locations: Bewdley, Stourbridge, Worcester, Halesowen, Stourport-on-Seven and Kidderminster.

 

 

Package includes company car, bonus, private healthcare with cash allowance, 25 days holiday + stats, full expenses & allowances, tooling, IT equipment and uniform provision & cleaning. Overtime is paid after 40 hours at 1.25 of salary.
