Mechanical Design Engineer – The Role:

• Responsible for the day to day management of Engineering projects to ensure the delivery of technically compliant designs through to manufacture
• Production & verification of fit for purpose design & calculations
• Delivery in accordance with allocated budgeted cost & timescales
• Day to day management of the project design team
• Supervision, verification & production of design deliverables
• Design co-ordination with other engineering disciplines
• Implementation of UK H&S legislation & appropriate design standards
• Identification & inclusion of bought out plant & equipment
• Presentation and/or participation at HAZOP & design reviews
• Liaison with manufacturing, testing & commissioning personnel to ensure define optimisation

Mechanical Design Engineer – The Person:

• HNC qualified with proven experience of managing a small design team or leading projects
• Conversant with British & European Technical & Legislative standards
• Previous experience of concept design of special purpose, mechanical handling, robot automation or assembly lines will be highly advantageous utilising Inventor or another 3D design package

Due to the nature of projects, this client can only accept applications from engineers who hold a British Passport or are eligible to obtain one.

Position offers hybrid working - 3 days office, 2 from home.

Working from office in North West, commutable from Warrington, Widnes, Irlam, Altrincham, Leigh.
