Machine Vision Control Engineer - The Role:

  • Responsible for machine vision software development, installations, and solutions, contributing to advancements in industrial image processing
  • Develop customer software projects, algorithms, and plug-ins in C# for machine vision
  • Contribute to the specification, development, and oversight of software check routines, image processing algorithms, plug-ins, and additional extensions
  • Assist in development & expansion of the software library
  • Define & develop functional vision software solutions for customer demonstrations, evaluations, proposals and systems
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of machine vision hardware, encompassing camera technology, optics, lighting, filters, and mechanical considerations
  • Collaborate with teams on specific projects, actively contributing to the conception and development of the company’s automatic visual inspection solutions

 

Machine Vision Control Engineer - The Person:

  • Degree level education, preferably in a Software Engineering related field
  • Knowledge of software programming languages C# and Python
  • Understanding of Source Control (Git or TFS)
  • 2 years’ minimum industry experience in software development
  • Have a logical approach to solving complex engineering problems  
  • Well organised with the ability to work to deadlines and high attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills both written and verbal

 

This is an office based role easily commutable from within and around Reading, Didcot, Swindon and Oxford.
