Mechanical Fitter

 

£35,000 - £40,000 + Benefits Package

Worldwide Travel. West Midlands based.

Mechanical Fitter – The Role:

  • Attending machine breakdowns to support design, electrical and maintenance engineers
  • Post-build testing of completed machinery and subsections of machinery
  • Assembling precision bearings and working with fits & limits in a range of applications
  • General machine maintenance
  • Working on Pneumatic & Hydraulic Systems
  • Piping-up, testing and fault finding air & fluid assemblies
  • This role involves travel to customer sites around the UK, Europe & Worldwide. Trips are infrequent & generally max 3 times per year for up to 1 week at a time depending on location

 

Mechanical Fitter – The Person:

  • Prior machine build experience, along with a background of assembly and sub-assembly of mechanical parts.
  • Typical mechanical skills such as fitting motors, pneumatics, bearings etc
  • Experienced Mechanically biased fitter with some electrical experience
  • Able to work from Engineering Drawings to Assemble Special Purpose Equipment
  • The ideal candidate will be an apprentice trained engineer, however, applicants with formal engineering qualifications and a history of mechanical fitting will also be considered.
  • Must be prepared to travel when required
