Controls/Commissioning Engineer with PLC software design skills

for machinery automation projects.

£35,000 - £45,000 + Benefits.

This position is open to experienced Controls/Commissioning Engineer or engineers from a maintenance/installation background looking to develop their career in Control Systems.

Commissioning Engineer – The Role:

• Hands-on Control Systems design role for bespoke machinery projects for the Automation sector: Automotive, Medical, Pharmaceutical
• Design & commissioning for UK & European projects
• Assist with pre-commissioning activities, ensuring machinery build & testing is completed to specification
• 75% commissioning – split 50/50 between UK customer sites and pre-commissioning in the North East
• 25% software design

Commissioning Engineer – The Person:

• Experience using Siemens TIA software. Rockwell exposure advantageous
• Robot programming skills advantageous, training available
• Experience working on machinery automation projects highly beneficial
• Flexibility to travel for commissioning activities around UK & Europe

This role is based in the North East of England, which offers value for money spacious homes with beautiful scenery.

The position is near to Newcastle, Sunderland & Durham, making it a perfect commuter location. The company are open to assist with relocation costs.
