A special purpose machinery manufacturer now have an additional requirement for a skilled  Mechanical Fitter to join their professional team.

Mechanical Fitter  

£25,000 - £40,000 basic with opportunity to earn £50k+

Lots of Overseas travel. Allowances & Overtime paid at premium rates.

Mechanical Fitter  - The Role:

• Build & test machines from individual parts to functionality tested, customer ready machinery
• Work together with the Engineering & Controls departments to advise time frames, changes or shortages
• Work under continuous improvement initiative, undertaking R&D tasks, improving the current range & developing systems
• Be a point of contact for management to discuss issues, design faults, failures & successes
• Take responsibility for the mechanical installation of machines & equipment on customer sites
• Ensure safe installation of machinery & compliance with local & international standards
• Look for opportunities within customer sites to improve production processes & generate new business

Mechanical Fitter  - The Person:

• Minimum of Level 3 NVQ diploma / time served mechanically bias apprenticeship
• 5 years’ experience within with bespoke machinery with strong technical knowledge
• A good understanding of Mechanical design processes, assembly & manufacturing
• Strong & effective communication skills at all levels
• Ability to work to own initiative
• Flexibility on working hours & meeting deadlines
• Prepared to work abroad for extended periods when required

Based on the South Coast, this role would be commutable from Bournemouth, Dorset, Poole, Salisbury, Southampton and surrounding areas.
